With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, China’ssecond largest automobile manufacturer - Dongfeng Motor Corporation (DFM) hasunited together to cope with the crisis.

On February 3, 2020, Li Junzhi, general manager of theinternational business department of DFM and DFMIEC presided over a videoconference on Dongfeng’s overseas business to report the development andchanges of the pandemic and market feedback, analyze the impact of the pandemicon the business and formulate response plans and measures.

By using the video conferences, various regional branchesconveyed the deployment arrangements of Dongfeng International BusinessDepartment/DFMIEC during the pandemic period, and formulated detailed plans andspecific measures based on the characteristics of markets. Our businesspersonnel have carefully explained and communicated with overseas partners,timely followed up with the latest policy changes in various countries andformulated countermeasures. Moreover, they have timely communicated withDongfeng’s production units, freight forwarders and customers to negotiate onthe transportation of vehicles, thereby ensuring that the delivery of ordersand the placement of new orders are completed on schedule.

In order to further improve the prevention and control ofthe pandemic, ensure the health and safety of employees and the normal andorderly development of operations, Dongfeng’s overseas business team adjustedthe originally scheduled business trips and visits to video/telephoneconferences. Since February 4, 2020, DFMIEC began to implement remote mobileoffice.
